West Penak Overhang
West Penak Overhang
Location: Koh Penak, Phang Nga Bay, Thailand
These "Mezzanine Level" overhangs were probably created during a “bump” in ocean sea levels 165,000 years ago. They exist in Penak tidal sea caves, including shelf remnants in the Bat Cave, created by a fault line large enough to pour water onto the shelf and melt it into silt.
