When I registered as official media to cover the Royal Barge Procession, I had no idea how vast the actual celebrations were. Once I arrived in Bangkok I stepped into the Wonderland of a truly Magic Kingdom. There was so much going on there was no way to cover it all, but by staying in focus until the wee small hours every night Neil Donahue and I did get in:

The Official media reception on June 8

Royal Barge procession (June 12) and rehearsals on June 9.

All before I departed for Puerto Princesa's Festival of the Forest on June 18.

We hope you enjoy these images, and return in another month or so once we finish researching the Ramakien. It's a great epic, but I want to be totally accurate in matching the story with each particular fresco.

The videos of all this is even better than the stills, so look for the Royal Barges DVD in another month or two. It's going to take that long to finish the script, get all the official approvals, and finally edit out the show.
